This attractive South Mountain flint longrifle is trimmed in iron, and stocked in curly maple. Often referred to as a Tennessee style, this Southern rifle is fitted with a correct English Durs Egg flint lock, by L&R. Original Tennessee flint rifles were often equipped with imported English locks. This fine rifle was assembled by Richard Cremeans right in his Shop .

 Virginia flint longrifle with a 44" swamped barrel, round faced English lock, and brass furnitureThis beautiful Virginia flint longrifle dates from the period of the 1770's and 1780's. This example rifle was built by Richard Cremeans,  the rifle is modeled after an original built by F. Klette of northern Virginia. Found in George Shumway's, Rifles of Colonial America Volume II, the rifle and a brief description are found on pages 534-539.

PR3460 PEDERSOLI 2 BAND ENFIELD RIFLE PEDERSOLI
  is 51” in length with a 1 ¾” drop and 13 ½” trigger pull. Barrel is .577 caliber, blued, 39” tapered round – 1.090 at breech to .780 at muzzle. Broached rifling - .004” deep. Has 3 lands - .577 and 3 grooves - .585. 1 in 78” twist. Front sight is blued steel base & blade. Rear sight is blued steel with flip up elevator marked to 800 yards. Ignition is percussion – musket size cap. Features a color casehardened lock. Line engraving on lockplate and hammer. Lockplate marked “1861 Tower” with crown on tail. Blued steel barrel bands. Brass nosecap, buttplate and triggerguard. Stock marked “Birmingham Small Arms Trade” w/crown on right side of buttstock. Overall length is 55” and weighs 8 ¾ lbs. Accessories include a .275 steel rod threaded 10 X 32. Nipple 5/16 X 20 (NP1480 – Steel). Recommended load is 60 grains of FFg with a .577 minie (or) .570 round ball and .010 patch. Manufactured is Pedersoli/Italy. N/SSA APPROVED.
